First Choice Team Resource List

" Three days after the passing of our mother, I had the responsibility to hire a realtor for her home. My mother lived in The Villages, while I live in IL and my sibling in CA. Due to the commitment to our own families and schedules, I needed to contact, schedule, interview and hire someone within 24 hours. Since we would be out of state, it had to be someone we trusted, connected with and would meet our timeline and expectations. For hardly knowing anyone in The Villages, let alone a realtor, that weighed on us heavily. I set up meetings with a representative from The Villages Properties (family referral), and Vickie and Charla (referral from mother’s neighbor) to discuss listing the house. In fact, I believe I sent a text on a Sunday evening for a Monday appointment and Vickie and Charla responded. They were the first interview appointment. After meeting with them for an hour, I knew they would be the ones. They came to the meeting prepared based on the very little information I was able to provide ahead of time. They fed off each other, almost able to finish each other’s thoughts and sentences. They showed me numbers, comps, listings and three out ideas, history, suggestions and gave me assurance that the home would sell quickly. Granted the market was hot at the time, but you don’t want to overprice or leave money on the table. They said they would do a little staging: check They would do a little cleaning: check They would have professional photos taken: check They said it would be listed by a particular date: check They said they would have open houses the first weekend it was listed: check They said they would communicate with me: check If they said they would have something done, they made sure it was done. When they said they would call/text/email, they did. No phone call, text or email from me ever went unanswered….and BOTH of them generally responded. When I originally met with them, I told them I didn’t want to micromanage this process. I wanted to hire professionals and not have to worry about anything. They also spent time talking to my sibling about concerns she had. The attention and service was comforting and they always made me feel like I was their most important client! We accepted an offer after the first day of the open house weekend. Their experience was able to get us more than asking and a 10 day close. Who is able to close in 10 days?? Vickie and Charla, that’s who. I flew down to FL to sign closing papers a few days before the official closing date. While at signing, I made a comment about a 10-day close (it was actually 7 if you only count business days) and how nice it was to have this over and done. The closing agent said, “10 days is unheard of but we would do ANYTHING for Vickie and Charla”. Wow! That tells me a lot about the way they treat EVERYONE involved in the process, not just the seller. I can’t imagine to have gone thru this process with anyone else while I’m 700 miles away. From start to finish, they were class acts. I would not hesitate for a moment to use them again if needed, without the need to interview any other realtors. While my intuition was spot on after our first meeting, it was their professionalism and business approach that made me feel that way. Thanks again ladies! "
